A former financial adviser has appeared in court accused of defrauding a bank customer out of £86,000.
Simon Kitchen, of Black Bull Lane, Fulwood, Preston, used to work for Skipton Financial Services.
The 44-year old, who is married, was employed as a financial planner based in the Lytham St Annes branch of the Skipton Building Society.
It is alleged he committed the fraud against an elderly man from the Preston area over a 12 month period between February 1, 2008 and March 1, 2009.
He faces one count of fraud by dishonestly abusing his position, in order to make a gain for himself.
Kitchen will appear for a plea hearing at Preston Crown Court on November 27 and was remanded into custody.
