The family of a missing mum has revealed she has been suffering from post-natal depression.
Karen Simpson was last seen leaving her home in Elm Road, Burscough, to go to the local Tesco on Sunday morning.
Her family called police after the mum-of-three, who had a baby girl three months ago, failed to return.
Her sister Claire Dobrec has appealed for her to contact her family to let them know she is well.
She said: “We just want her to come home.
“We are devastated by Karen’s disappearance which is very out of character.
“She has now been missing for over 48 hours and the whole family are extremely concerned for her welfare.
“She is the mother of three children, the youngest is only three months old. Karen has been suffering from postnatal depression, for which she was receiving help and as such we are very concerned for our welfare.”
Karen is 5ft 6in and slim. She wore a dark green jacket, blue jeans, maroon grey scarf and black boots.
Call Lancashire police on 101.
