Detectives from Lancashire Police have issued an Evofit of a man they need to trace after a woman reported being raped as she walked home in Lancaster earlier this month.

The 23-year-old student was walking home in the early hours of Monday March 3 after a night out in the city centre.

As she walked along Ashton Road she has approached a man and asked him for directions.

They had a conversation but following this he has then attacked her.

The man has been described as being aged in his early 20’s, white, with wavy hair, about five feet ten inches tall and of average build.

Detective Inspector Richard McCutcheon said: “Even the smallest piece of information could be crucial so we would urge anyone to call 101 if they have any information.”
