A woman caught drink driving after taking a vehicle without consent has been banned from the road for 18 months.
Victoria Wilkinson, 22, of Ashwood Road, Fulwood, Preston, admitted driving after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in her breath was 65 microgrammes per 100 millilitres of breath.
The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
Preston Magistrates’ Court heard Wilkinson was stopped by police in a Renault Clio in Deepdale Road on October 12 this year. Magistrates fined Wilkinson £110 and told her to pay a £20 victim surcharge plus £85 court costs.
Wilkinson also pleaded guilty to taking the car without the consent of the owner and causing damage to the vehicle.
And she admitted not having a licence to drive the car or any insurance.
Magistrates said the defendant’s guilty plea had been taken into account when imposing their sentence.
