A motorist caught nearly three times over the drink drive limit has been banned from the road for 24 months.
Geoffrey Hayton, 62, of Rowan Close, Garstang, near Preston, admitted committing the offence on December 13 last year at Lancaster Magistrates’ Court.
The court heard he was stopped by police in a Peugeot 406 in Park Hill Road, Garstang and found to have 100mg of alcohol in 100ml of his breath.
The legal limit is 35mg.
Magistrates handed him an eight-week home curfew, between 8pm and 7am daily, and told him to pay a £60 victim surcharge plus £80 costs.
