A drink driver was banned from the road for 20 months after he was caught more than two times over the limit.

Philip Gallery, 40, of Summerfield Close, Walton-Le-Dale, pleaded guilty at Chorley Magistrates’ Court to having 85mg of alcohol in 100ml of his breath while driving in Chorley.

The legal limit is 35mg.

He was stopped in a Ford Mondeo in Market Street on December 22 last year.

Magistrates fined him £110, told him to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.
