A cyclist was taken to hospital after they were knocked off a bike in a collision with a car on Penwortham Bypass.
Police closed part of Golden Way, near the roundabout junction with Millbrook Way after the crash, which happened at around 4.45pm on Thursday.
It is believed the cyclist, who has not been named, may have suffered a broken ankle.
The incident led to heavy traffic and tailbacks.
