A cyclist was hit by a car at rush hour on Monday evening.

Police were called by ambulance crews to a collision involving a car and a push bike, near a roundabout on Lea Road in Preston.

The incident happened shortly before 5pm, and the road was blocked.

The collision involved a car and a cyclist, who police said was a man in his 20s.

He was said to have sustained lower back injuries, and his injuries were described as minor.
