A man, wanted in connection with a cash in transit robbery in the Brookfield area of Preston, will appear on Crimewatch tonight.
Detectives in Lancashire have turned to the BBC1 programme to appeal for information about the whereabouts of Lee James Seddon following the incident at 9.30am at the Brookfield Newsagent on Langfield Road.
The 36-year-old, whose last known address was in Bolton, will feature on the programmes’ ‘Wanted Board’ this evening.
The incident occurred on June 12 when a security van was making a cash delivery at the atm when the guards were approached by three men wearing balaclavas.
One of the robbers was wielding a machete and a number of cash cassettes were stolen.
The three men then left the scene in a Mini Cooper which was found a short time later abandoned on Troutbeck Place.
Detective Sergeant Martin Pearson from Central Division CID said: “I would appeal to anyone who has information as to his whereabouts to contact Lancashire Police on 101 quoting reference LC-20130612-0332.
“He should not be approached by the public.”
Robert Pinkney, 31 of Isis Close, Salford has been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and will stand trial on December 2 at Preston Crown Court.
Michael Paul Bond, 30, of Gorsey Avenue, Manchester has been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and aggravated vehicle taking.
