Numberplate was stolen
A thief stole the front registration plate off a Citroen car parked on the driveway of a home on Inskip Road, Ashton-on-Ribble, Preston, before sticking it on a silver Vauxhall van which was later driven off from a petrol station without payment being made. It happened between midnight and 8am yesterday.
Yob damaged wing mirrors
A motorist was left with a repair bill after a vandal damaged the two wing mirrors of a Ford Focus parked on Moor Park car park in deepdale, Preston. It happened between 6.40pm and 9.55pm on Tuesday. Anyone with information should call police on 101.
Thief stole headphones
A shoplifter forced the security tag off a rare and expensive pair of headphones before stealing them from the Curry’s store in Preston’s Fishergate Shopping Centre. It happened at around 4.19pm on September 22, police said.
Thief makes clean escape
A thief stole coins from a dryer at a launderette. It happened at the Clean Street launderette shop on Garstang Road, Fulwood, Preston, some time between 7am and 5pm on September 23. The criminal is thought to have reached into an industrial dryer, snapped a funnel and managed to reach into a coin slot to steal cash. Witnesses should call Preston Police on 101.
Resident’s gas meter stolen
A gas meter was stolen off the wall outside a ground floor flat at the end of a terraced row of homes on Brackenbury Road in Ashton, Preston, It happened some time between 8pm on September 25 and 8am the following day. Police are asking anyone with information to contact them on 101.
