Bike thief cut security chain

Cyclists in Leyland are being warned to be vigilant after an expensive bike was stolen from outside the Market Hall on Northcote Street. The thief struck some time between 4.55pm and 6pm on March 20, police said. The GT Aggressor cycle was locked with a security chain but the thief cut it.

Car scratched and tyres burst

Vandals used a screwdriver to puncture the tyres of a BMW on Fox Lane, Leyland, then used the tool to scratch the offside paintwork of the car on March 20.

Home criminal damage probe

Police are investigating after a bath and a door were damaged during a row. Officers were called to a house on Barry Avenue, Ingol, Preston at 4.40pm on March 20.

Woman stole chocolate box

A woman is going to be quizzed by police after allegedly stealing boxes of Ferrero Rocher chocolates from Poundworld in St George’s Shopping Centre. The shopper was seen by security staff at 2pm on March 20 after allegedly paying for some items but hiding chocolates in her clothing. She was stopped as she walked out.

Thief strikes at Primark store

A thief walked into the Primark store in the Fishergate Centre, Preston, browsed the shop, and stole a haul of children’s clothing. The woman struck at the shop between 10.20am and 10.50am on Thursday.

Brick smashed home window

Vandals threw a large brick through the window of a home on Dawlish Place, Ingol, Preston, at 9.40pm on Thursday. Police are appealing for witnesses to call 101.

Mobile stolen from man

A mobile phone and wallet was stolen from a man who was drunk in a secluded alley in Stoneygate, Preston. Two people approached the man and distracted him with conservation before stealing his Black HTC mobile phone and his wallet which contained £10 and other items. No threats of violence were made.

Thief steals food from shed

Frozen food worth £450 was stolen from a freezer inside a garden shed. Between 3pm on Monday and 3pm on Tuesday somebody entered the shed in Glenluce Drive, Preston, and searched it before fleeing with the food. Anybody with information should call Lancashire Police on 101.

Burglary at allotment site

A selection of chocolate bars were stolen from a shed on an allotment site in Valley Road, Penwortham. Between 6pm on Tuesday and 10am on Wednesday somebody cut the padlock on the door before entering and stealing the items. Call police on 101.

Six floodlight fuses stolen

Six floodlight fuses worth around £300 were stolen from the lights surrounding the tennis courts in Goosnargh, near Preston. The fuses were stolen sometime between Tuesday March 12 and Monday at the venue in Goosnargh Lane. Anyone with information should contact Lancashire Police on 101.

Shoplifter stole £100 of razors

Four Pro Glide Razors worth £100 were stolen from Boots in Fishergate, Preston. A woman with short dark hair and dark clothing entered the store, de-tagged the razors wandered round the shop then went back to the razors and put them in a carrier bag and left. It happened at 12.30pm on Monday.

BMX stolen from a garage

A BMX bike was stolen from the garage of a house in Mounsey Road, Bamber Bridge, near Preston. It was stolen between Saturday March 16 and Tuesday at noon. The bike has GT in white letters on a black frame and a pink sticker on the top bar. It also has blue sprayed pedals. Call police on 101.
