Thieves take mountain bike

A Rock Rider adults mountain bike was stolen from outside a terraced house on Dodgson Road, Preston, after it was left leaning against a house. The thief struck between 7pm and 9.30pm on February 18. The bike is described as silver with a small frame and 18 gears. Call 101 with information.

Vandals target parked vehicle

A motorist has been left with a repair bill after vandals scratched the paintwork of a blue Volvo car. It happened between 3.30pm and 5pm on February 19 while the car was parked on Frenchwood Avenue, Frenchwood, Preston. Anyone who saw anything suspicious should call police on 101.

Number plates taken from car

The number plates of a blue Audi A3 car were stolen while it was parked on the victim’s driveway. Police are appealing for witnesses after the theft on Parish Gardens, Leyland, between 6pm on February 19 and 2.30pm the next day.

Bike hacked from lamppost

A boltcutter was used to hack a mens’ black mountain bike from a lamppost on St Wilfrid Street, Preston. The thief struck some time between 11.30pm on February 17 and 4pm the next day. The bike had 2DANGER written on the crossbar and a light fitting on the right handlebar. Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Vandal attack on parked car

A vandal smashed the back window of a blue Vauxhall Astra while it was parked on Howarth Road, Ashton, Preston. It happened between 7pm on February 18 and 6.30am the next day. Anyone with information can call police on 101.

Cheese thief strikes at shop

A thief stole £13 worth of cheese from a city shop. The criminal took six blocks of cheese from a fridge in the One Stop Store on Moor Lane, Preston, at 4.09pm on February 19 and walked out. Witnesses can call 101.
