Hunt for sneak purse thief
A thief sneaked into the kitchen of a Garstang home and stole a purse. The man took place as the house’s 55-year-old owner was gardening on Sycamore Avenue, Garstang at around 11.55am last Thursday. Insp Steve Bell urged anyone who saw a man running away from the street to contact police on 101.
Car set alight outside homes
A car was destroyed after being dumped and set alight outside homes. Firefighters were called to the blaze on Leyland Road, Penwortham, shortly before 1am on Saturday. The car is believed to have been stolen.
