Thieves stole car’s battery

A stunned motorist called police after finding thieves had lifted the bonnet of a Ford Ka and stolen the battery. The blue car was targeted on The Mall, Ribbleton, at around 1pm on October 2. Police said the yobs smashed the passenger window and popped the bonnet. Call police on 101.

Metal hurled through glass

A lump of metal was thrown through the front window of a home on Rowan Avenue, Ribbleton, Preston. It happened some time between 4pm and 4.30pm on October 3. The damage will cost £100 to put right. Police are asking witnesses to contact them on 101.

Driver foots tyre repair bill

A motorist has been left with a £40 bill after a vandal punctured a tyre. The yob targeted a Peugeot 406 parked outside a home on Threefields, Ingol, Preston. It happened overnight on October 3 into 4.
