Bag taken at city museum

A bag was stolen from a Preston museum. The incident happened at the Harris Art Gallery, in Market Square. Police believe the thief struck between 3.30pm and 4pm on Sunday. It was taken while the owner was busy in the library. A cream-look leather shoulder bag, containing a Next tweed purse, was stolen.

Hunt after thief steals bicycles

Two children’s bikes have been stolen from the front garden of a Preston home. Police say the incident happened at an end terraced property in Mimosa Road, Ribbleton, Preston, between 9am and 2.30pm on Sunday. Both the bikes were pink Raleigh children’s bicycles. One had mudguards and the word Molly on the side, the other had the word Crush.
