Thief snatched phone in shop

Police are investigating after a man walked into a Preston shop and snatched an iPhone from a shopkeeper’s hand. The thief walked into CEX on Friargate at 3.20pm on Wednesday, asked a member of staff to show him an iPhone. The man then snatched the white iPhone 5 and fled.

Yobs smashed flat’s window

Vandals damaged a window panel in a door of a first floor flat on Charnock Street in Preston. The incident happened at 5.10am on Thursday. The vandals fled the scene. Witnesses should call 101.

Student’s bike stolen from uni

A black Identity mountain bike was stolen from outside the Student Union building on Fylde Road between 9am and 12.30pm on Tuesday.

Priorities listed for local police

Police covering the Lostock Hall area have been asked to look at three concerns as priorities. Residents have raised a problem of youth drinking and littering on Black Path and youngsters gathering outside KFC in Victoria Terrace. Parking concerns outside shops have also been raised.
