AN overturned lorry is causing traffic problems to back up on the M6 towards Preston.

One lane of the northbound carriageway between junctions 35 and 36 has been closed and there is congestion in the area due to recovery work.

Delays of around 30 minutes are expected, with normal conditions expected to resume by noon.
