Jordan James Wright, 19, of Flower Street, Preston, was fined £35 by city magistrates after pleading guilty to being drunk and disorderly in Meadow Street. He was also ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
Jail warning for toy thief
A man who stole electrical items worth £123.90, from Toys R Us in Preston, was given a 24-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, when he appeared before the city’s magistrates. Anthony Steven Speariett, 29, of West Cliff, Preston, pleaded guilty.
Police are appealing for witnesses after an innocent bystander was struck in the face by a glass during a disturbance at Bentleys Nightclub, in Lancaster, around 2am on September 15.
Geoffrey David Fairclough, 48, of Eldon Street, Preston, was fined £55 with £155 costs after being found guilty of being drunk and disorderly.
Daniel Matthew Butler, 25, of West Park Avenue, Ashton, Preston, was ordered to do 100 hours unpaid work and pay £500 compensation after admitting taking a motorbike without the owner’s consent and damaging it.
