Plans to build a new home and industrial units will be discussed by Preston Council’s planning committee.
Proposals have been lodged to build a detached home and six light industrial storage units at Shepherd Joinery on Talbot Street, Fulwood.
The plans follow the demolition of existing storage buildings.
The application was called in to be discussed by councillors because of concerns over the increased development within an existing residential area.
Objectors raised issues including loss of privacy and increased traffic and parking within the area.
However, the plans have been recommended for approval with conditions, and a report to councillors said: “Objections received have been taken into consideration and the issues raised have either been addressed through conditions, amended plans and supporting information, or did not warrant the withholding of permission in their own right.”
