POLICE are appealing for help to trace a 12 year old girl missing from her home in Heysham

Police say they are growing increasingly concerned about a 12-year-old girl missing from home.

Sarah Jane Mansfield left her home in Heysham yesterday evening and has not been seen since.

PC Rupert Brookbanks of Morecame Police said: “We are getting increasingly concerned for the welfare of Sarah given her age and the fact that she has been missing for over 12 hours now.

“I am appealing to Sarah direct to make contact with family or friends to let us know she is okay. She is not in trouble; her family just want her home.

“I urge anyone who may have seen Sarah to get in touch with us.”

Sarah is described as being 4ft with shoulder length light brown hair. She was last seen wearing blue jogging bottoms, black trainers and possibly a black jacket. It is believed she may also have a purple and lilac star patterned onesie with her.

She was last seen on Chatsworth Road in Morecambe at around 9.45pm in the company of two boys aged between 12 and 13 years old.

Anyone with information should contact the police on 101 quoting log number LC-20140814-1596.
