Phoenix Nights star Ted Robbins put on an exclusive performance for a full house at a parish hall.

The comedian, who also starred in the pantomime production of Cinderella at Preston’s Charter Theatre at Christmas, performed to an audience of 120 people at a fund-raising event for the North West Air Ambulance at St Gerard’s Parochial Hall at Lostock Hall on Sunday.

Organiser Stuart Birch said: “Ted was fantastic, he did a full hour and went down a storm.”

The hall’s committee handed over a cheque for £4,500 raised in the last year to the charity.
