A company director has denied an string of charges dating back as 2004 relating to indecent images of children.

Wayne Chapman, 49, of Victoria Road, Fulwood, Preston, denied the nine charges in a hearing at Preston Magistrates’ Court.

He is accused five counts of making indecent images of children in relation to two level one images (with level five deemed the most serious), a level three image, a level two photograph called “jailbait” and making another image which was not classified.

He is also accused of four counts of being in possession of indecent images of children.

The first charge relates to a level one photograph, another involves 67 level one images, another involves four level one images and the last involves 19 level two images.

Chapman, who owns and is director of a Lancashire sign making firm, will appear before Preston Crown Court on April 14.
