People in Lancashire are being encouraged to “sign up and dress up” for a 10-mile trek in aid of the Rosemere Cancer Foundation.
The annual Rosemere “walk in the dark” event, supported by the Furness Building Society, will take place on April 26 at 9.30pm.
The walk, now in its fifth year, follows a route along the A6 from Chorley District Hospital back to Royal Preston Hospital, home of the specialist Rosemere Cancer Centre.
Entrants are urged to dress up with colour and extra sparkle to light up the night skies.
The event raised more than £15,000 for Rosemere last year and is expected to exceed that amount in 2014. Rosemere chief officer Sue Thompson said: “We are so excited to launch the 2014 Walk in the Dark. It’s such an enjoyable event to take part in and a great way to raise some valuable funds for Rosemere.”
Entry costs £10. To sign up, email email@example.com or call 01772 522913.
