Police are appealing for information following a burglary at a Cleveleys hair salon in which more than £1,500 of stock was stolen.
The burglary took place between 8.15pm on December 21 and 7.10am on December 22 at Leroy Marks Hairdressing on Ramper Gate.
The offenders have smashed the glass in the front door and removed 15 pairs of GHD hair straighteners and a small amount of money from a petty cash tin.
Police believe the offence could be linked to another burglary at Rory Blair Hair Salon, on Lord Street, which happened sometime between Saturday, December 1 and Tuesday, December 4.
On this occasion someone has broken into the salon and stolen 12 gift wrapped GHD straighteners, in addition to nine sets of salon use GHD hair straighteners, several pairs of scissors and a heated roller machine. They also took the till drawer which contained around £50.
PC Ian Hill said: “I would appeal to anybody with any information about either burglary to contact police on 101. In particular I’d like to hear from anybody in the area who has been offered GHD hair straighteners for sale or anyone locally who has been given them as a gift.”
