Cadley Causeway

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed in Preston.

The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is from the Ingol area of the city.

He appeared at Preston Youth Court on Saturday, where he was remanded in custody, and is due to appear at the same court on Monday.

Police said the 15-year-old boy was still recovering from his injuries at Royal Preston Hospital.

The stabbing happened at a bus stop near St Anthony’s Drive in Cadley Causeway, Fulwood, Preston, at around 3.45pm on Thursday.

Officers are continuing to appeal to anybody that witnessed the incident or has any information that could assist the investigation to call 101.
