Police were today trying to identify a man whose body was pulled from Preston Docks.
The alarm was raised at around 8.30am today by a member of the public.
Police, the fire and rescue service and an ambulance crew attended and a man’s body was recovered from the water.
A Lancashire police spokesman said the body had been taken to the mortuary and investigations were continuing into the man’s identity and how long he had been in the water.
There are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.
