CCTV of man police are looking for in Morecambe

This is the man police want to speak to about a series of supermarket thefts.

CCTV images have been released of a man officers want help tracing trace after two shoplifting incidents on the same day.

The crimes took place at Asda in Ovangle Road Lancaster, and Sainsbury’s in Lancaster Road, Morecambe,

The two incidents occuried on on Thursday, March 14 and officers believe that the same man is responsible for both.

Police said the man entered the two supermarkets in a group of other men and women.

On both occasions he approached the self-service tills, and purported to put his credit/debit card in the machine, however he removed it before the card was accepted, and left without paying.

On both occasions, four tubs of body building protein were taken.

Police are urging anyone who recognises the man, or has any information about the offences, to make contact.
