Bid for apprentice award
Jenny Westworth
Jenny Westworth has launched her bid to be crowned national Apprenticeship Champion of the Year – and needs the help of Lancashire folk to win.
Jenny was nominated for the award, which is decided by a national public vote, following her significant achievements at BAE Systems Ltd since finishing her Apprenticeship and championing Apprenticeships to others.
The award is part of the prestigious National Apprenticeship Awards, which are organised by the National Apprenticeship Service.
Jenny, 23, completed an Advanced Apprenticeship in Aerospace Engineering at BAE Systems in Warton Aerodrome, Preston.
Since successfully completing her Apprenticeship Jenny has gone on to become an Education Ambassador for BAE Systems and a STEM ambassador for her region, promoting Apprenticeships and demonstrating the careers that studying STEM subjects can lead to.
The initial public vote runs until 9am on October 29.
Later that day the top three scoring nominees will be announced and the finalists will have until the November 4 to push their final vote tally to a new high.
The winner will be announced on November 14.
Members of the public can vote for Jenny by going online at www.apprenticeships.org.uk
