A year after the discovery of a baby boy’s body in Kirkham, the detective leading the investigation has issued a heartfelt plea to the mother to come forward.
Detective Chief Inspector Andrea Barrow from the Force Major Investigation Team said: “The family of this baby boy would have been celebrating his first birthday at this time of year and I am sure the mother is thinking about her baby.
“I would like to appeal directly to her to come forward and speak to us so that we can find the answers we need.”
A funeral was held for the baby at St Michael’s Church Kirkham in June after the community rallied round to raise money or provide services free of charge
