Detectives are investigating an armed robbery at a Preston pub-restaurant in the early hours of Monday.
Police say intruders with weapons entered the Pig and Whistle carvery in Blackpool Road, Lea at around 1.50am and made off with cash.
The restaurant was later cordoned off while forensic staff carried out investigations.
A Lancashire Constabulary spokesperson said: “There was an armed robbery in the premises during the night and we hope to release more details later.”
The Pig and Whistle is a popular family restaurant and is part of the Crown Carveries group.
