Police investigating a serious sexual assault on a city centre street have released CCTV images of two woman they need to come forward.
An investigation was launched following an incident in the early hours of New Years Day this year in Lancaster Road North, Preston.
Detectives believe the two women may have information about the alleged offender that could assist the investigation.
A 26-year-old man is charged in connection with the incident.
Det Sgt Chris McCreadie of Preston CID said, “I want to make it absolutely clear these two women are not in any trouble at all, we just want to speak to them.
“I believe they may have vital information that could assist this investigation.”
