Detectives have appealed for information after a spate of burglaries in Lancashire, including Preston.
Over the past couple of months, a number of houses have been broken into. However officers believe more people may have narrowly escaped becoming a victim.
It is believed prior to several of these offences, which have mainly been carried out during the daytime, a man and woman knocked on the victim’s door first to check if they were at home before breaking in.
One of the break-ins happened at property in Blackpool Road, Lea, Preston
Between 11.30am and 6pm on July 5.
Somebody broke into the property and stole a number of items of jewellery including a white gold wedding band and a tag watch. Police are now appealing for people to come forward who may have answered the door to this man and woman and subsequently avoided having their house broken into.
