Police are appealing for information after a burglary at a house in Freckleton last week.

It took place sometime between 7am and 8pm on Wednesday, February 27, at the house on Derwent Drive when someone has smashed a kitchen window to gain access.

The burglars stole a specialised road bike, a customised BMX bike, a man’s white and yellow gold necklace, a man’s gold bracelet and some cash.

Sergeant Kevin Wilks said: “This burglary has caused a great deal of distress for the victims. I would appeal to anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area, or who may have any other information that could assist, to contact police.

“Similarly, I would ask people to be vigilant and if you are offered any similar items for sale, please get in touch by calling us on 101.”

People with information can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at Crimestoppers-uk.org. You can now receive free crime alerts and advice. Sign up at www.lancashire.police.uk/intheknow
