A team of arts experts have unveiled a series of workshops to get inspire adults.

West Lancashire Council’s arts development team has put together an adult learning programme throughout autumn to encourage adults to learn new skills or hone interests they had allowed to lapse.

Coun David Sudworth, portfolio holder for leisure, said: “We have had some really positive feedback from people who have been on courses in the past.

“They have praised the tutors and said they really enjoyed the sessions, while some said they learned new techniques.

“There are some great courses on offer in the new programme, so why not give one or more of them a try?”

The courses range from one-day workshops to longer sessions and will start in October at the Chapel Gallery, in Ormskirk, running until June next year.

Among the courses is knitting, etching, clay and jewellery making.

For more information on the arts programmes log on to chapelgallery.org.uk, email chapel.gallery@westlancs.gov.uk. or call 01695 571328.
