Advertising vans have been touring Lancashire in a bid to encourage more people to vote in this months Police and Crime Commissioner elections.
Four candidates are standing for the post in Lancashire, which will replace the current Police Authority.
The election is on November 15.
As well as the advertising vans, which have featured the band the Lancashire Hotpots, leaflets have been put through doors across the county and 15,000 “e-shot” leaflets have been sent via email to community groups and NHS organisations.
A report to members of the authority said: “The vans were highly visible and we received a lot of positive feedback on Twitter as well as positive media coverage.”
The new commissioner will be able to hold the chief constable to account.
