Accused dentist is a ‘good man’ says ex

The ex-partner of a dentist accused of attempting to meet a teenager after grooming her online told a court he is “ very good man”.

But Ewa Cybula admitted she was surprised to learn Artur Wiktor had met with two or three adults he had spoken to online.

Miss Cybula told the court she lived with Wiktur, 51, of Fareham Close, Walton-le-Dale, for four years and said: “He works very hard. He is a very good man.

“He never let me down on anything.”

Wiktor was arrested on September 15 2011 when the teenager he is accused of meeting turned out to be an undercover police officer.

But when she was asked if she thought her ex-partner was the type of person to meet up with an underage girl she told the court: “Absolutely not.”

Wiktor denies the charge against him at Preston Crown Court.

The jury is expected to retire to consider its verdict today.
