“We set out to achieve three things - to give people fantastic memories of live entertainment, to make a case for local businesses to have creative arts part of their business model, and to bring creative people together and create a local scene.
“On all three counts we’ve succeeded. People who attend have broad smiles, all the businesses want to take part year after year and we have a creative community now that people are really proud of.”
He added: “I always said to myself that I’d judge the success after 10 years and see what we’d really achieved. But I can see it already - we have a lot of young acts who are getting up and performing with confidence.”
