A Lancashire Evening Post reader is £100 richer after winning a newspaper competition.

Margaret Sutton, of Moor Avenue, Penwortham, won £100 in vouchers after subscribing to the Evening Post.

The LEP Direct Delivery department recently ran a competition which involved canvasser Tony Tracy going out each day knocking door to door to encourage new readers to receive delivery of the Lancashire Evening Post directly from us.

Anyone choosing to pay for direct delivery by Direct Debit was entered into a prize draw where they could be in with a chance to win £100 of Love2Shop vouchers.

By completing the Direct Debit mandate you get free delivery of the Lancashire Evening Post at £1 per week for the first 13 weeks, then £2 per week for the for a further 13 weeks then 20 per cent discount at full price.

Hundreds of readers who choose to pay their paper bill by Direct Debit save over £80 a year.

Mrs Sutton, who is retired, said she was delighted because she never normally wins anything.

When asked what attracted to her to the offer she said the discount, the free delivery and the competition.

She stated the all round service has been excellent and has been informing family and friends of the good service.

Mrs Sutton said: “The vouchers will come in very handy.

“I have quite a large family so I might save them for Christmas! I’m on a roll now, so I fancy wining the lottery next.

“I have read the Evening Post for years and it’s very handy having it delivered straight to your door.”
