Therapy to calm business bosses

A therapy centre is set to expand by opening a branch in Preston.

The North West Therapy Centre is moving in to Camden Place in Winckley Square.

It is due to offer herbalism and homeopathy, holistic therapies, Omega 3 blood testing and physiotherapy.

The Preston expansion is the first for the company, which was established in December 2007 and has a base at Abingdon Street in Blackpool.

The new centre is due to focus on corporate work such as advising businesses, employee assistance programmes and offering training and development.

Its practice manager Daniel Astbury said he hopes to expand operations into other areas, including Lancaster.

He added: "Since starting the business we have seen considerable growth and are fortunate to be in a position where we can expand into another area."

First Mr Astbury and company owner Melanie Oliver were both advised by solicitor Leona Bulmer in the commercial property department of Preston-based Napthens in Winckley Square.

She said: "Napthens acted for the North West Therapy Centre when the business was first set up and helped Melanie and Daniel acquire their current lease.

"It is a pleasure to be able to help a successful business expand

even further, and it is heartening to see that despite the recession, businesses are still able to do well."

Other services that the company offers include hypnotherapy, life coaching and podiatry.

Counselling involves patients being offered a service to deal with conditions including anxiety, addiction, bereavement, stress and anger management.
