Leighton Hall on the web

Web wise: Leighton Hall

Web wise: Leighton Hall

Historic family pile Leighton Hall is joining the 21st century - by tackling the worldwide web.

The stately home, near Carnforth, has launched a new user-friendly website to promote its facilities and bring in new business.

They hope to attract more weddings, school trips and families, groups and societies to visit the Hall which is set in the Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

So the Hall’s owners, the Reynolds family, brought in digital marketing experts from web company Fat Media to re-vamp the site which has just gone live last week..

Leighton Hall is the ancestral home of the famous Gillow furniture family who made their fortune from their Lancaster based business.

And it is still a family home. Owner Suzie Reynolds said: “It’s been a period of change here at Leighton and it’s been all go.

“My daughter, Lucy Arthurs, is now very much involved in the running of the Hall and the estate. Just because we’re a historic house doesn’t mean we live in the dark ages!”
