Laurence drops in

Flamboyant interior designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen returns to Lancashire next week to raise money for charity.

The Stanley House Hotel in Mellor, near Preston, is hosting the sell-out Ladies Who Lunch fund-raiser in aid of Self Unlimited on Thursday March 18.

Guests will hear about his life as a celebrity and his rise to fame, before a question and answer session, design tips, and details of his new book.

General manager Oliver Cooke said: "We're delighted to welcome Laurence back to Stanley House Hotel. He's already familiar with the place, having visited on numerous occasions. I know he'll be a big hit with our Ladies Who Lunch following."

There will also be stalls selling flowers, jewellery and clothes plus a raffle. The hotel hopes to raise 3,000 for Self Unlimited which provides support for adults with learning difficulties and manages the Stanley Grange community in Roach Road, Samlesbury.
