A mum whose cheating toyboy husband was deported has warned other women not to be taken in by holiday romances which seem too good to be true.
Toni Chippendale, 54, of Ingol, Preston, fell in love with 29-year-old Danny Benn after meeting him while holidaying in his native Barbados.
However, when Toni discovered Danny was cheating on her and sleeping with another woman, she gave him his marching orders.
After suspecting Danny had also stolen her dead mum’s jewellery, Toni took Danny to the police station to turn himself in, and he was deported after revelations he had overstayed his visa.
Toni said: “The first years of our marriage were wonderful and Danny was everything I wanted and more.
But it turned out I picked a bad apple and he was too good to be true.”
She added: “I am not a victim and despite everything that has happened, I have come out fighting.
“But I want other women who are not as strong as me to trust their gut instincts at the first sign of wrongdoing.”
However, Danny said: “It is in the past and I have forgotten all about Toni. She should live her life and let me live mine.”
