An appeal has been launched to find a lost wedding band, which a family “desperately” wants to be returned.

The plain gold wedding band is thought to have been lost in Asda in Fulwood, in the car park or near the cash point, or at Owd Nells Tavern in Billsborrow, on Wednesday, March 4.

Ann Gorman explained that her father had worn her mother’s wedding ring on his little finger since she passed away last year.

She said: “My dad is understandably very distressed at losing such a precious item and in desperation and I know it is like finding a needle in a haystack, but would like to appeal to readers that if they have found this wedding ring to please return it to my dad.”

If anybody has found the ring, please contact the Lancashire Evening Post on 01772 838101.
