Lancashire Constabulary is offering a glimpse into the world of policing by launching its own Flickr stream.
The force’s image hosting site currently contains photographs of police horses, police dogs, current campaigns including the naked biker, and images from the archives, with more images being added on an on-going basis.
The launch of the Flickr stream will give people a real visual insight into the work of Lancashire police officers and staff, and the campaigns that are being worked on to protect the public and drive down crime.
A police spokesman said: “We are always looking at ways to engage with the public, so we are using Flickr to show people what our officers, past and present, get involved in, community events and some of the campaigns that we are working on to reduce crime.
“You can also see behind the scenes images of police dogs and horses being trained, which the public would never normally get to see.
“We will keep adding more striking photographs of Lancashire officers and staff which you can enjoy looking at, and we are encouraging people to take a look at the photos we have already added.”
