Comedian and actor Justin Moorhouse is urging Chorley residents to nominate unsung heroes for an awards scheme aimed at honouring community champions.
Housing association Contour Homes is running the ImPaCt Awards for the fourth year to celebrate tenants who go out of their way to make their areas better places to live.
And Justin – famous for his role as Kenny in Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights – will present awards to the winners in a ceremony at Manchester Cathedral on October 24.
The funnyman, who will soon appear in Coronation Street, said: ‘I’m chuffed to have been asked to host this year’s ceremony.
“The awards are all about people who go out of their way to run community groups, help their neighbours, improve their areas and make them better places to live.
“If you’re a Contour tenant and you haven’t nominated somebody yet, please get involved.”
Awards include green achiever, good neighbour and small group: big difference.
Contour Homes owns and manages more than 12,000 properties across the North West, including in Chorley.
The awards are open to all tenants.
Nomination forms are available online at www.contourhomes.co.uk.
The deadline for nomination is August 15.
