It’s pan-tastic, it’s pancake day!

Get your frying pans out, get your lemon juice ready ... tomorrow is Shrove Tuesday, otherwise known as Pancake Day.

Shrove Tuesday is always the day before Lent and pancakes traditionally eaten as they were a way to use up rich foods, such as sugar, before the fast over the 40 days of Lent.

In some parts of the country, pancake races are being held.
