Ribble Valley goes to the polls in Parliamentary, borough and parish council elections on Thursday, May 7, and prospective candidates and their agents are invited to a meeting to find out more.
The meeting, from 5.30pm on March 25 March, in the council chamber in Church Street, Clitheroe, will include a question and answer session for anyone considering standing for election to the UK Parliament, Ribble Valley Borough Council or the borough’s 40 parish councils.
Ribble Valley returning officer Marshal Scott said: “This is a relatively informal meeting for anyone interested in standing for election. The council’s elections team will be on hand to answer questions about the elections process and what being a borough or parish councillor entails.”
Ribble Valley will host a triple-election this May, which only happens every 20 years, when four-yearly local and five-yearly general elections coincide.
