Premiership club Sale Sharks ran a residential camp for more than 70 hopefuls aged 13-17 at Myerscough College near Preston this week.
And some of the club’s top stars like Samoan international Johnny Leota and former Ireland scrum half Peter Stringer were on hand to give the teenagers an insight into what life is really like at the very top of the sport.

Sharks’ winger Will Addison, who was discovered at one of the camps, said: “This is a fantastic chance to learn new skills from some of the best coaches in the business.
“You never know what could come of it. For some, going to this camp might be the start of something special. It certainly was for me.”
