I love you all the way from iraq
As people across Lancashire wait for Valentines Day cards to drop through the letterbox today, hundreds of Lancashire troops will be thousands of miles from their loved ones.
Now soldiers from the 1st battalion The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment have taken time out to send heartfelt Valentines wishes back home.
The troops, who have been in Basra since last November, are due to return home in April. But for now they will be spending yet another holiday away from their friends and families.

Lancashire-based Staff Sgt Ian Finlayson said: "To my darling wife LT, we'll have a proper honeymoon when I get back!! xxx"
Cpl John Thompson said: "To my wonderful fiance Katie Louise Norton of Blackpool. Babe, sorry we can't be with each other on our special day. I know how much it means to us both.
