Chorley’s Help the Homeless office has been given a makeover, thanks to the Chorley Community Housing (CCH) neighbourhood fund.

The interview rooms at the office in Clifford Street are small, so to improve privacy, soundproofed walls have been inalled.

Samantha Hornsby, neighbourhood development officer at CCH said: “The charity does so much to help out local people, so it’s nice to be able to give a little bit of help back in return”.

The Help the Homeless office relies on donations from the public and volunteer labour and works hard in the local community assisting with accommodation, blankets, food parcels and much more.

Peter Walkden, help the homeless employee said: “We would like to thank CCH for their support.

“We have been able to carry out improvements so our visitors will feel a lot more comfortable when they come to our office”
